Action & Impact: April update

Engaging as a network in the modern world means using the tools at our disposal. Mahabba’s vision is to equip Christians everywhere to be able to love Muslims and share the good news of Jesus. Part of fulfilling this vision involves connecting with Christians in all segments of society; Social Media gives us a particularly powerful tool for engaging a tech-focussed generation.

During Ramadan, we’ve been increasing our social media presence to raise awareness and equip Christians to pray and reach out to Muslims wherever they are.

From increasing our posting on Facebook and Instagram to every other day we’ve seen an increase in our connection and reach.

We’ve grown to 150+ followers on Instagram

We’ve reached almost 2,000 people in the last week of April with our posts

We’ve connected with a number of Christian Unions and other Christian mission organisations who want to join in with Mahabba’s work

Ramadan has proved a particularly significant time to call Christians to pray. Social media has enabled us to help Christians understand more of what Ramadan is and why it’s important to Muslims. We’ve used regular posts to invite Christians to pray for Muslims in this season and to prompt them with how they can pray.

We will be concluding this time of prayer through Ramadan with 5 days of specific prayer inspiration and prompts from 8th - 12th May. There will be videos and posts on social media or if you would like to receive these to your inbox please contact us.
